The paper was presented by Richard May, who has been a key member of Ambic\u2019s Locate\u2019n\u2019Spray\u2122 development team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"maintext\" align=\"justify\">The paper presented the results of an independent study commissioned by Ambic to assess the effectiveness of the Company\u2019s newly developed automated teat spray system which has been designed to automate the pre-milking and post-milking teat spraying routines, particularly on rotary milking parlours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"maintext\" align=\"justify\">The study looked at a variety of teat spray regimes and concluded that a \u00bd second spray regime provided teat coverage at least as good as manual spraying with comparable teat dip consumption, whilst the 1 second spray regime achieved consistently a better hit rate and teat coverage than manual spraying.<\/p>\n<p class=\"maintext\" align=\"justify\">The main advantages of the Locate\u2019n\u2019Spray system were identified as the ability to make valuable savings of labour time and cost during milking, combined with the considerable benefit of \u00a0additional time being freed up to focus on udder health and milking management.<\/p>\n<p class=\"maintext\" align=\"justify\"><em>The adjustability of the teat spray system means it can be configured to suit both cost minimisation and udder health maximisation regimes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"maintext\"><a class=\"mainlink\" href=\"https:\/\/ambic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/locatenspraystudy-bmc-2014.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to download a copy of the poster presented at BMC.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"mainlink\" href=\"https:\/\/ambic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/bmcpresentation2014.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> <span class=\"maintext\">to download a copy of the paper presented at the conference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"maintext\">For further details contact <a class=\"mainlink\" href=\"mailto:sales@ambic.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\">sales@ambic.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A poster presented at the British Mastitis Conference was chosen by the Organising Committee for an oral presentation at the annual meeting held in Worcester on Wednesday, 12th November 2014.
